The Pakistan Squad for the Asia Cup 2025 was not included in Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, who has captained the national team in this format. The PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) announced the team on Sunday, the same thing happened in it. Two big players Babur and Rizwan did not get a place in this team captained by Salman Ali Aga. Different reactions started coming to this. Former Pakistan fast bowler Tanveer Ahmed advised both of them to retire by giving the example of Virat Kohli.
Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are the highest run -scorer for Pakistan in T20 International cricket, but both have been in poor form for a long time. Both were not given a chance in a single T20 match by PCB this year, after which it was expected that both would not join the Asia Cup. Former Pakistan fast bowler Tanveer Ahmed suggested both of them to retire from international cricket. Giving the example of Virat Kohli, he said that if he is loved his respect, then he should take retirement from international cricket.
Tanveer Ahmed said, “I request my Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan that if they feel that they are not getting respect now, then they should take retirement from international cricket. Virat Kohli is an example in front of us. Babur and Rizwan, Ijjat is in your hands.”
Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are no longer important- Mohammad Hafeez
Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez said on his YouTube channel, “Babur and Rizwan are not important players. If they were important, they would have won matches for Pakistan. If Salman Ali Aga, Saim Ayub and Hasan Nawaz are constantly performing well-performing players, why don’t we talk about them? They are winning the match for Pakistan team in the present time.”
He further said, “I think Babur and Rizwan will have to be worried about themselves and first have to prove themselves as a good player. Both were good first but now they are not able to bring the results.”
