Tamil actor and comedian Robo Shankar died on Thursday (September 18, 2025) in Chennai. He was 46 years old. It is being told that Shankar fainted on the set of the film on which the film was working on. He was immediately rushed to GEM Hospital on Tuesday (September 16, 2025). But he died.
The entire Tamil industry is shocked by the sudden demise of Robo Shankar. Many celebs including Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupati, Karthi and Radhika Sarathkumar have mourned her death.
Hospital issued a statement
The statement issued by the hospital states that Shankar was “admitted” in critical condition. In Bayan, Robo Shankar was admitted to a serial condition on 16 September 2025 at GEM Hospital in Perungudi, Chennai. He was a prohibition of non -working gastrointestinal blinding and many ages. He was kept in the ICU and he died at 9.05 pm on Thursday night. “
Celebs paid tribute to Robo Shankar
Kamal Haasan paid tribute to Shankar. He wrote in the post on X, “Robo Shankar, Robo is just a name, you are a human in my dictionary. So my younger brother. So will you leave me.

When is Robo Shankar’s funeral?
The body of Robo Shankar is kept for the last darshan at his house in Valsavakkam, Chennai. Dhanush, Shivkartikeyan and Udayanidhi paid their last tribute to the late Shankar’s house. It is being told that his funeral will take place after this afternoon. The actor is survived by his wife Priyanka Shankar, daughter Indraja and son -in -law Karthik.
