Despite this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has tried to rebuild this unsuccessful alliance. AIADMK-BJP alliance is his own decision, but he did not clarify why this alliance is formed or on which ideological basis it stands. Instead, he vaguely claimed that he would work on a common minimum program.
