As part of the election campaign, the party is scheduled to present its candidates at a high-profile public meeting in Mamallapuram on March 27.
Party sources said Vijay himself will introduce the candidates on the stage and outline the party’s vision and election roadmap, marking a crucial moment in TVK’s preparations.
According to party insiders, Vijay is likely to contest from Perambur constituency in Chennai. However, official confirmation is still awaited.
His potential candidacy has generated considerable interest, especially among first-time voters and youth, who form a significant part of his support base.
The party is making full preparations for its election campaign on March 28. Vijay is scheduled to address several public meetings in major constituencies of Chennai, including Perambur, Kolathur, Villivakkam, Anna Nagar and Virugambakkam.
According to reports, permission has been given for gatherings of up to 3,000 people at each venue. According to sources, the Election Commission has rejected requests to organize campaign programs in 12 additional constituencies due to regulatory hurdles.
Let us inform that these restrictions have been imposed in the backdrop of the tragic stampede that took place in Karur during a public program of Vijay on 27 September 2025, in which 41 people were killed. After this incident, Tamil Nadu Police implemented strict guidelines on public programs and crowd management involving the actor-politician, so that such incidents could be prevented.
As polling day approaches, the entry of Vijay and his party is expected to add a new dimension to the electoral contest, while the established alliances continue to consolidate their positions across the state.
