Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi is once again in controversy. Recently, the Supreme Court had reprimanded him to stop 10 Bills for more than 3 years. Now he has been accused that he allegedly asked the students to raise the slogan of Jai Shri Ram in a program.
Following these allegations against the Governor, the leaders of the ruling party and many educational institutions have strongly criticized him. A educational institution has also demanded to remove him from the post. Tamil Nadu’s non -profit organization SPCSS TN (State Platform for Common School System Tamil Nadu) said that RN Ravi has violated the oath of his office. They have failed to follow the Constitution and respect its ideals and institutions. RN Ravi should be immediately removed from the post of Governor of Tamil Nadu for deliberately violating Article-159 of the Constitution of India.
Congress leader Shashikant Senthil tightens the governor
Senior Congress leader Shashikant Senthil posted on X and took a dig at the Governor. He said, ‘After being reprimanded by the Supreme Court and stopping by the state government, now he (RN Ravi) is adopting tactics like raising slogans of Jai Shri Ram to the students to harass the system.
‘Governors are pushing their agenda’
Taking a dig at the Governor, the Congress leader said, ‘They are clearly giving a message that even if the courts should judge against me, I will find other ways to pursue my agenda. It is a dangerous mixture of ego and disobedience that weakens democratic institutions and the principles of the Constitution.
Earlier this week, the Supreme Court termed Governor RN Ravi’s decision not to approve 10 major bills as illegal and arbitrary. The court said that the governor has not worked with goodwill.
