Last month, the Tamilga Vatri Kazhagam Party Chief had expressed anger over the imposition of Hindi and said that one sings, the other dances but both are in the same tone and maintain the status quo. In protest against the three-language policy, he said that the current two language policy of the state under which students learn English and Tamil. Should continue here. As DMK and Chief Minister are doing Stalin.

Demand for cancellation of Waqf Bill
He also questioned changes in Waqf laws. The Center had proposed 44 changes in the Waqf Act last year. Which included nominating non-Muslim members in the board, which the opposition had protested. The bill was sent to JPC where 23 changes were suggested, out of which the Center accepted 14. In today’s meeting, TVK passed a resolution and appealed to the Center to cancel the bill.
