There was a fierce war on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan on Wednesday (15 October 2025). Fighting continued throughout the night in Spin Boldak district of southern Afghanistan. Frustrated by the rapid attacks by Taliban, Pakistan carried out airstrike in Spin Boldak area. Both countries have claimed to cause harm to each other.
Claim to kill Taliban fighters
According to the Pakistani army, its security forces killed at least 15-20 Taliban fighters in the Spin Boldak area. According to the report of news agency AFP, local spokesperson of Southern Afghanistan Ali Mohammad Hakmal has confirmed the casualties. Spin Boldak District Hospital official Abdul Jan Barak has confirmed that dozens of people have been injured.
Clashes began on Tuesday (14 October 2025) in the Pakistan-Afghanistan north-western border area, where Pakistani state media accused Afghan soldiers of firing without provocation. According to Geo TV and two security officials, Pakistan responded by damaging Afghan tanks and military posts.
Afghanistan captures Pakistan’s tank
Afghanistan claimed that it had caused heavy losses to the Pakistani army. It said that the Taliban have captured many posts, weapons and tanks of Pakistan and destroyed most of their military installations. The Afghan government has shared a video on the official X account, in which Taliban fighters are shown driving a captured tank through the streets.
Unfortunately, this morning once again Pakistani forces attacked Afghanistan with light and heavy weapons in Spain Bouldak district of Qandhar. Attacks were launched, as a result of which more than 12 civilians were killed and more than 100 were injured.

Taliban claims to have destroyed a training center
According to TOI report, Pakistani army targeted a Taliban post and a tank in Kurram sector, in which several bodies were found. According to PAK security officials, a Taliban training center has been destroyed and the Pakistan Army is on high alert on its border.
