Tata Motors has launched petrol variants of Tata Harrier and Tata Safari in the Indian market. Till now both these popular SUVs were available only in diesel engine, but after the introduction of petrol option, customers have more choice. The starting ex-showroom price of Tata Harrier petrol has been kept at Rs 12.89 lakh, while the price of Tata Safari petrol starts from Rs 13.29 lakh. Let us know in detail.
New 1.5 liter petrol engine and better mileage
- Tata’s new 1.5 liter Hyperion Turbo-GDi petrol engine has been provided in Harrier and Safari petrol. This engine gives power of 170 PS and torque of 280 Nm. It is offered with both manual and automatic gearbox. The company claims that these petrol SUVs give excellent mileage in their segment. Tata Harrier Petrol has also made a place in the India Book of Records by achieving the highest mileage in 12 hours of driving.
Performance became smoother
- With the new petrol engine, the drive of Harrier and Safari has become smoother than before. Noise and vibration have also reduced significantly, making long distance journeys more comfortable. With the introduction of petrol engines, these SUVs will now give direct competition to other petrol SUVs.
Packed with premium features
- Both these SUVs get a large 36.9 cm touchscreen infotainment system, a sound system with Dolby Atmos support and a digital rear-view mirror, which also has an inbuilt dashcam. Apart from this, features like connected car technology, navigation with voice command and sliding front armrest are also provided, which make the drive easy and comfortable.
5-star safety assurance
- All variants of Tata Harrier and Safari petrol have received 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP. Like before, it has been provided with Level-2 ADAS system, which includes 22 safety features. Due to this, petrol models have also become completely strong in terms of safety. Tata Harrier and Safari with petrol engines have now become attractive options for more people. With powerful engines, great features and strong safety, these SUVs will further strengthen their hold in the segment.
