Tata Harrier Ev vs Mahindra Xev 9E: India’s EV market is continuously emerging and now two big companies Tata.Ev and Mahindra are face to face with their premium electric SUVs. Tata’s Harrier EV and Mahindra’s XEV 9E are both better cars in their respective segments. Size and design
The Mahindra XEV is slightly larger than the Tata Harrier EV in the 9e size. The XEV 9E has a length of 4789mm and wheelbase is 2775mm, while the length of the Harrier EV is 4598mm and the wheelbase is 2741m. Both are 5-seater SUVs, but the design of the XEV 9E seems more futuristic, with premium elements such as follicle silhouette, light bar, flush door handle and 19 or 20-inch alloy wheels.
On the other hand, the Harrier Ev looks similar to its ICE version, but it also has a sporty and aerodynamic design like light bar and large wheels. Design choice can be your individual priority, while XEV 9E gives a very future look, Harrier EV has a more traditional SUV appeal.
Performance and Range
The XEV 9E gets a single motor setup of 286bhp, which comes with two battery pack options of 59kwh and 79kwh. This setup generates torque of 380nm and is capable of giving a range of about 500 km in real life on a once charge. At the same time, the battery specifications of the Harrier EV have not been officially declared, but according to media reports it will have a dual motor and AWD (all-wheel drive) setup, which will give it a torque of up to 500Nm. Talking about the range, the Harrier EV can also give a actual range of about 500 km. That is, in the case of power, the Harrier Ev looks a little ahead.
Technology and features
In terms of technology and features, both Mahindra Xev 9E and Tata Harrier EV are equipped with future techniques, designed to give users a premium experience. The Mahindra Xev 9E includes advanced features such as panoramic sunroof with pattern lighting, 16-speaker equipped with Dolby Atmos, Herman Cardon Audio System, Heads-Up Display (HUD), 7 Airbags, Adas and remote parking. On the other hand, the Tata Harrier EV is also likely to get the same level of technology, which can include facilities like remote drive, Adas Level-2, Panoramic Sunroof, 3-Jone Climate Control, Premium Sound system and large touchscreen infotainment unit.
Now talk about the price, then the ex-showroom price of Mahindra XEV 9E starts from 21.90 lakhs and the price of its top variant goes up to 31.25 lakhs. On the other hand, the price of Tata Harrier Ev has not been officially announced yet, but it is expected that its initial price will be around 22 lakhs and the top variant can go up to about 30 lakhs.
