Tata Nexon has become the country’s best-selling car with sales of 19,430 units in February 2026. It has left behind vehicles like Hyundai Creta and Maruti Brezza. Its ex-showroom price starts from Rs 7.32 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.15 lakh. Its on-road price in Delhi can be around Rs 8.32 lakh to Rs 16.79 lakh. Due to the availability of more features at a lower price, this SUV is being considered as value for money.
Engine and Performance
Two engine options are available in Tata Nexon. The petrol model has a 1.2 liter turbo engine, which gives 120 PS power and 170 Nm torque. The diesel model has a 1.5 liter engine, which gives 115 PS power and 260 Nm torque. It has the option of manual, AMT and 7 speed DCA gearbox. The car runs comfortably on city roads and performs well on the highway as well. CNG model is also available, which helps in covering more distance at less cost.
Tata Nexon Mileage
Tata Nexon is also quite good in terms of mileage. The petrol model gives a mileage of about 17 kilometers per litre. The diesel model can run up to 23 to 24 kilometers per liter. The CNG model gives a mileage of approximately 24 kilometers per kilogram. Due to low fuel consumption it is a better option for daily use.

Tata Nexon has features like 10.25 inch large touch screen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 360 degree camera, ventilated seats and automatic AC. Its design is strong and stylish. Safety features like 6 airbags, ABS, ESP and hill hold have been provided as standard. It has also received 5 star safety rating. This is the reason why people are buying more of this car. The 2026 Tata Nexon directly competes with the likes of Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 3XO in the sub-4 meter compact SUV segment. With its 5-star safety rating, modern features and petrol, diesel and EV options, it is already a strong contender.
