Tata Motors’ new Tata Sierra is finally going to be launched on 25th November 2025 after a long wait and it will compete directly with Maruti Suzuki Victoris. The design of Sierra has been prepared giving a modern touch to its 1990 classic model. On the other hand, the design of Maruti Victoris has been kept more conventional. Its large grille, LED DRLs and 17–18 inch alloy wheels increase its attractiveness. Its design looks inspired by Grand Vitara in many parts. Let’s look at the features of both cars.

interior

  • The interior of Tata Sierra is considered to be the most premium cabin of the brand till date. It has a setup of three 12.3-inch screens which gives it a futuristic look. The cabin feels extremely luxurious due to its leatherette seats, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof and soft-touch materials. The rear seats are also quite comfortable and there is more space available for taller passengers.
  • The cabin of Maruti Victoris comes with a dual-tone theme and practical layout. It has a 9-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster and ventilated front seats. Its 373-litre boot space is enough for family use, although it is slightly reduced in the hybrid variant due to the battery. Overall, the Victoris focuses on comfort and user-friendly setup, while the Sierra focuses on technology and premium feel.

Features and safety

  • Talking about features, Tata Sierra appears to be slightly ahead in this competition. It includes advanced features like wireless connectivity, premium sound system, powered tailgate, dual-zone climate control and level-2 ADAS. In comparison, Maruti Victoris is also not behind and it has head-up display, cruise control, panoramic sunroof and underbody CNG tank, which helps in saving boot space. Both SUVs have strong safety features, but expect a 5-star rating from the Sierra.

Engine and Mileage

  • The new Tata Sierra will be offered with 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options, which are far ahead of the Victoris in terms of power. On the other hand, Maruti Victoris has 1.5-litre mild-hybrid, strong hybrid and CNG options available, making it very strong in terms of mileage. While Sierra can give a mileage of up to 15–22 kmpl, the strong hybrid of Victoris gives an excellent mileage of up to 27.97 kmpl and CNG gives an economy of 25–30 km/kg.
