Teachers’ Day is celebrated every year on 5 September in India. On this day, the first Vice President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born. Dr. Radhakrishnan was a great philosopher, teacher, writer and politician. Radhakrishnan, who was awarded the Bharat Ratna, had a heartfelt desire that if it is celebrated as Teachers’ Day, instead of celebrating his birthday, it would be a matter of pride for him. Therefore, while remembering them, we celebrate this day as Teachers Day.
