The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made Ayush Badoni the captain of India A team. The team will play its first warm-up match today against America at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. After this, the second match will be played against Namibia at the Center of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. Both these matches will give a good opportunity to the players to test their form and fitness before the World Cup.
Strength increased due to return of Tilak Verma
The most relieving news for the team is the return of Tilak Verma. Tilak recently underwent surgery and has now been declared fit by the BCCI Center of Excellence. He will play for India A in the match against America on 2nd February i.e. today, after which he has to join the senior team also. His return is expected to strengthen the middle order.
