Microsoft Layoffs: Technical sector veteran American company Microsoft is going to make a second big spill in 2 years. According to reports, about 4 percent of its total staff is now going to run scissors, so that more than 9000 employees will now come on the road. This news has been revealed in Seattle Times. After 2023, Microsoft has the biggest pruning ever. It is believed that there is a financial uncertainty to reduce the expenses behind the extract of such a large number of employees.
Microsoft again trimmed
In June 2024, a total of 22800 employees were working in the company. In June, Bloomberg said in its report that the tech company is planning to take out thousands of staff, especially of people engaged in sales. In the month of May this year, Microsoft took out about 6000 people. However, no official statement has been given by Microsoft about this trimming.
The news was also revealed that in June this year, the company has excluded about three hundred people. It is believed that this time the scissors will be above the staff who are directly associated with the customers, such as marketing and sales. Last time too, the company did not run scissors on the jobs of product developers or software engineers. The company is constantly making structural changes on its own.
Company focus on AI
CNBC has cited Microsoft spokesperson, in which they said that the company will continue to make necessary organizational changes to create its better position in the market. Significantly, earlier Google also announced the retrenchment. Google and Microsoft are constantly investing money on AI research and development. AI is being engaged in work like coding, due to which the jobs of people engaged in this work are getting in danger.
