Janashakti Janata Dal headed by Tej Pratap Yadav has announced 21 candidates. One of these candidates is Tej Pratap Yadav himself. Tej Pratap Yadav, who has been a minister in Bihar government, will contest from Mahua seat in Vaishali.
till now on this seat 5 RJD has won once, Lok Dal once, Janata Party twice and Congress thrice. Let us tell you that nomination and voting will be held on Mahua seat under the first phase. Nominations will be held on this seat till 17th October and the public will vote on 6th November.
In the elections held in the year 2020 on Mahua assembly seat, RJD leader Mukesh Kumar Roshan won by 13 thousand 770 votes, defeating Ashma Parveen of Janata Dal United. Tej Pratap Yadav himself has contested elections from this seat. In the 2015 elections, Tej Pratap Yadav defeated Ravindra Rai of Hindustani Awam Morcha by 28 thousand 155 votes.

RJD and RLM also have the same seat?
In Mahua assembly seat, the total votes of Muslim and Yadav communities together are around 35 percent. Apart from this, the Scheduled Caste population is also considered to be around 21 percent. People of Paswan and Ravidas community are also included in this.
It is claimed that after the finalization of seat sharing of Grand Alliance, Rashtriya Janata Dal will keep this seat for itself. In such a situation, there may be a close contest between Tej Pratap Yadav and RJD on this seat.
If sources are to be believed, Rashtriya Lok Morcha leader Upendra Kushwaha can also contest from this seat. It is claimed that Mahua is one of the seats that RLM has got in BJP led NDA. To defeat RJD in this election, Upendra himself can contest from this seat.
