A new video of Indian Air Force’s Tejas fighter jet which crashed in the air show organized in Dubai has surfaced. In this video, it can be clearly seen in the last moments of the accident that Tejas pilot Namansh Syal had tried to eject at the last moment, but by then the fighter jet had hit the ground. Actually they did not have much time because the fighter jet was not very high in the sky.
This accident happened when the Tejas fighter jet was doing a low-altitude aerobatic maneuver, when it fell down and turned into a terrible fireball as soon as it hit the ground. Many videos of the incident also surfaced on social media platforms, in which the plume of black smoke is clearly visible. The Indian Air Force pilot who died in the accident was Wing Commander Namansh Syal, a resident of Himachal Pradesh.
Last moment before Tejas crash captured on camera
In this new video, between the timestamp of 44 to 59 seconds, the fighter jet fell on the ground and turned into a ball of fire. Meanwhile, a parachute-like object is seen in the video, which indicates that the pilot had tried to eject before the plane crashed, but by then it was too late. It is also possible that pilot Wing Commander Syal was trying to regain control of the aircraft and save it before the accident, because Tejas’s record in terms of safety has been almost spotless.
India’s indigenous Tejas fighter jet crashed while performing aerobatics at the Dubai Airshow on November 21, 2025. The accident occurred at 2.10 pm local time, after which the airshow was temporarily stopped. The Indian Air Force has set up a court of inquiry to investigate the reasons for the fighter plane crash.
