Senior Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav filed his nomination for the Bihar Assembly elections on Wednesday (October 15). Tejashwi Yadav is a candidate from Raghopur assembly seat of Vaishali district. In the affidavit filed during nomination, Tejashwi has given information about his total assets.
Tejashwi Yadav has informed in the affidavit that he has total assets worth around Rs 8.1 crore. Apart from this, Tejashwi also has many luxurious and expensive things, including an Italian made pistol and 50 live cartridges worth Rs 1.05 lakh. Apart from this, a desktop and a laptop are also included in it.
Movable assets worth Rs 6.12 crore
The RJD leader’s announcement also includes movable and immovable property. Tejashwi Yadav’s total assets include movable assets worth Rs 6.12 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 1.88 crore.
Tejashwi Yadav’s wife Rajshree Yadav has declared assets worth Rs 1.88 crore, which includes immovable property worth Rs 59.69 lakh. It has been told in the affidavit that Tejashwi has Rs 1.5 lakh in cash, while Rajshree has Rs 1 lakh.
Tejashwi and wife have about 50 tola gold
He has several bank accounts and has liabilities of Rs 55.55 lakh. Tejashwi Yadav also gave information about 200 grams of gold and 2 kilograms of silver, while Rajshree has 480 grams of gold.
Rs 1.35 crore government dues
The RJD leader has total government dues of Rs 1.35 crore, while his wife has no dues or liabilities. While filing nomination, RJD made a huge show of strength, in which thousands of supporters took part in the road show.
‘The people of Raghopur will bless me’- Tejashwi Yadav
Senior party leaders including Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, Misa Bharti and Sanjay Yadav were with Tejashwi during the nomination process. Before filing the nomination, Tejashwi said, “The people of Raghopur have trusted me twice. This is my third nomination, and I am confident that they will bless me again. The people of Bihar are fed up with crime, corruption and unemployment. This time change is certain. Bihar will get a grand alliance government.”
