RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has promised to provide pension and insurance cover of Rs 50 lakh to the Panchayat representatives if the Grand Alliance comes to power in the Bihar Assembly elections.

While addressing a press conference in Patna, Tejashwi Yadav said that the campaign has intensified and Bihar is desperate for change. Taking a jibe at the current Nitish Kumar government, he said that there has been a bad government in Bihar for 20 years, now the people are desperate for change. He said that wherever we are going, people of all castes and religions are coming in large numbers to support us. People are fed up with the current government and want to change the Bihar government. Corruption and crime are at their peak in this government, people have understood BJP.

Target on BJP and Nitish

Targeting BJP and Amit Shah, he said that factories were deliberately not allowed to be set up in Bihar. Along with this, while enumerating the achievements of his government, he said that a lot of work had been done in 17 months, if uncle had not reversed, more work would have been done. On Congress and alliance, he said that we are campaigning together and further campaigning will start with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi also. He said that Tejashwi has not harmed anyone and no one has any complaint against Tejashwi. The people of Bihar gave 20 years to the previous government and now we are asking for only 20 months.

Promise to double the honorarium of Panchayat representatives

Tejashwi Yadav said in the list of promises for the formation of his government that if the government is formed, the honorarium of the Panchayat representative will be doubled. Apart from this, people associated with goldsmith, barber, blacksmith and carpenter profession will be given a lump sum amount of Rs 5 lakh for self-employment. Tejashwi Yadav targeted the Modi government for not setting up industries in Bihar, saying that all the industries including big factories, IT parks were taken to Gujarat and Bihar was shown only as a cheat and a cheat.
