A unique cricket tournament ‘Temple Premier League’ is going to be organized in Kolhapur, Maharashtra from 14 to 16 February. At present, the priests of the temple are seen busy practicing for this tournament, this league is going to be held at Shastri Nagar Cricket Ground in Kolhapur. Now its preparations have also been completed.
This Temple Premier League was started last year and this year for the first time the team of Shri Vitthal Rukmini Temple Committee of Pandharpur will also participate in this cricket league. In this regard, co-chairman of the temple committee Gahininath Maharaj Ausekar will also be seen entering the field in the traditional attire of dhoti and Nehri.
Temple Committee Executive Officer Rajendra Shelke and Co-Chairman Ausekar distributed jerseys to all the players for the Temple Cricket League tournament to be held from 14 to 16 February in Kolhapur. The priests, officers and employees came together in the field and practiced vigorously. It is being said that entering the cricket field wearing dhoti-kurta will show a different passion towards the game.
The team of the famous Shri Vitthal Rukmini Temple Committee of Pandharpur is participating in this competition for the first time this year. As a practice, Pandharpur team co-president Gahininath Maharaj Ausekar himself came to practice on the field in dhoti and traditional attire, seeing which everyone was excited.
A total of 12 teams from Maharashtra will be included in this Temple Premier League, which includes 2 teams from Tuljapur Temple, Mahur Garh, Pandharpur, Shirdi, Mahalakshmi Temple, Pune Sarasbagh, Jotiba, Kolhapur, Nrisinghbari, Mahalaxmi Ambabai Temple Kolhapur, one team from Parshuram Foundation, Kolhapur.
First prize of Rs 25 thousand 555 and trophy, second prize of Rs 21 thousand 111 and trophy and third prize of Rs 15 thousand 555 and trophy. Man of the series got 11 thousand 111 more trophies. Apart from this, the best bowler will get Rs 5,555 and a trophy and the best batsman will get Rs 5,555 and a trophy. The remaining fair play team will get Rs 5,555 and trophy. A coupon of Rs 1,000 and a trophy for the man of the match in every match.
