Fans were eagerly waiting for the re-release of Salman Khan’s cult classic film ‘Tere Naam’ and when the announcement of its re-release in theaters was made, the fans of the superstars jumped with joy. However, despite not having strong competition, ‘Tere Naam’ did not perform well at the box office after its re-release. But the good news is that this tragedy-romantic drama may soon become the highest-grossing re-run of Bhaijaan. Let’s take a look at its box office collection here.

How much did ‘Tere Naam’ earn in 6 days of re-release?
Recently, many Bollywood films were re-released in theaters, these include Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Tumbbad and Sanam Teri Kasam. All of them performed well in their re-releases but unfortunately Salman Khan’s ‘Tere Naam’ proved to be lukewarm in its re-release run and as per the report of Koimoi, it has earned only Rs 10 lakh on the 6th day of its release.

Its total box office collection at the Indian box office has now reached Rs 1.10 crore nett. Its gross total including GST is Rs 1.29 crore.

Day wise box office report of ‘Tere Naam’ re-release (net collection)

  • First day – Rs 20 lakh
  • Second day – Rs 25 lakh
  • Third day – Rs 30 lakh
  • Fourth day – Rs 10 lakh
  • Fifth day – Rs 15 lakh
  • Sixth day – Rs 10 lakh
  • Total – Rs 1.10 crore

Tere naam vs karan arjun!
It is noteworthy that all the films of Salman Khan that have been re-released till now have been lackluster at the box office. Karan Arjun starring Shah Rukh Khan had collected only Rs 1.30 crore nett during its re-release. Thus, Tere Naam needs only Rs 20 lakh more to become Bhaijaan’s highest-grossing re-release, an achievable milestone provided its earnings at the ticket window do not decline further.

How much did Tere Naam collect in 2003?
Made under the direction of Satish Kaushik, this film was commercially successful. Made with a budget of Rs 10 crore, this romantic tragedy drama had earned a net worth of Rs 14.53 crore in its original lifetime in 2003. After re-release the total collection has increased to 15.63 crores.
