Israel Iran War: Maulana Shahabuddin Rajvi Barelvi, the national president of All India Muslim Jamaat, reacted sharply to the ongoing tension between Israel and Iran on Saturday. Describing Israel as the biggest ‘terror and violence’ country of this whole struggle, he demanded international forums to declare it a ‘terrorist nation’.
Maulana Rajvi said that the entire history of Israel is full of oppression and atrocities on Muslims. Referring to the frequent attacks on Palestine, he said that the Jews, who were once sheltered by the Muslims of Palestine, have been sheltered by Hitler’s torture, today they are destroying the houses of the same Muslims. He said that children, women and elders are being murdered, but the whole world is silent even after seeing this barbarity.
Nobody could ever erase Islam
Citing history, Rajvi said that the struggle of Islam has never been with Hindus, Buddhists or followers of any other religion. Islam has always taken a front against the oppressive forces of Jewish and Christian power and the same conflict continues today. He insisted that Islam was neither suppressed, nor will it be suppressed today. He said, “Islam was maintained even at a time when Israel had no existence. Even robbers like Genghis Khan could not erase Islam.”
Talking about India’s role, Maulana said that India has cordial relations with Iran, Israel and Palestine. In such a situation, India should advocate peace globally instead of standing with one side. He urged India to adopt the path of negotiation and reconciliation instead of war.
Iran can stand with Saudi Arabia in future!
Talking about the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Iran, he said that there was tension between the two countries for more than a decade, but now the circumstances are changing. The tension arising out of the arrest of a Shia religious leader is now over. That religious leader was released by Saudi Arabia and both countries have restored mutual relations. He said that Saudi and Iranian ministers have traveled to each other’s countries and special arrangements were made for Iranian pilgrims during the Haj this year. This is an indication that Saudi Arabia may stand with Iran in future.
Describing the need to take steps against Israeli globally, Rajvi said that the United Nations has passed several resolutions and the International Court of Court (ICJ) has also issued an arrest warrant against the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but had no effect. He said that it is clear from this that now the credibility and influence of global institutions is in danger. He asked the sharp question and said- “When the law, proposal and judicial orders also fail to stop Netanyahu, should the world be silent?”
