The incident of a car crushing and attacked by a car has come to light during the celebration of Yom Kipur festival near the Jewish religious site in Manchester, UK, killing two people and three people were seriously injured. Greater Manchester Police said the suspect has been shot.
According to reports, the accused has died after being shot. At the same time, the bomb disposal team at the scene is investigating whether the attacker did not have any bomb or explosive. Police said that they have issued a ‘Plato’ alert.
Police investigating the spot
Let us know that Plato is a special warning, which police and emergency services are used when they feel that there may be a big attack. However, this does not mean that this incident has been declared a terrorist attack. The team is currently investigating in and around the scene.
Regarding this attack, King Charles III of Britain said that he is quite surprised about this tragic incident, while Prime Minister Kir Starmar said that police officers will be deployed around every shrine in Britain with the festival celebrated by the Jewish community.

Posting from Starmer on social media ‘X’, he said, ‘I am surprised by the attack on a synagogue in Kitrapsaul. The attack occurred on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish calendar, which makes this incident even more frightening. My condolences are with all the victims and their loved ones. Also, I thank emergency services and all those who express their courage and quick action.
This morning’s attack is absolutely shocking.

In another post, Starmer said, ‘This morning’s attack is very shocking. I am going back to London to preside over an emergency meeting. He said that additional police forces are being deployed in additions across the country. We will make every effort to keep our Jewish community safe.
India expressed grief about the incident
Reacting to the incident on behalf of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal said, “We condemn the terrorist attack on Manchester’s Heton Park Synagogue during Yom Kippur prayer meeting on Thursday.” It is particularly sad that this heinous act was done on the day of International Non -Violence Day.
The ministry said, “This attack is another terrible reminiscent of the challenge arising from the evil forces of terrorism, which the global community will have to face united and coordinated action. Our condolences and prayer are with the victims, their families and the city of Manchester. We are standing in solidarity with the people of UK in this sad time.
