The FBI foiled a major conspiracy to carry out a terrorist attack on the Halloween festival in the US state of Michigan. FBI Director Kash Patel posted on Twitter that several people have been arrested in Dearborn for planning the attack and are currently being interrogated.
‘Terrorist attack attempt in America failed’
Kash Patel said in a post on X, “This morning the FBI foiled a possible terrorist attack and arrested several people in Michigan. These people were allegedly plotting a major attack on Halloween. We thank the officers of the FBI and law enforcement agencies who are on alert 24 hours a day to protect the homeland.” He said that further information about this conspiracy will be given soon.
‘There is no danger now’
Dearborn Police Department posted on Facebook, “The FBI conducted a manhunt for the suspect in the city on Friday morning (October 31, 2025). We want to assure our residents that there is no longer any threat at this time.”

‘America is a safe place under FBI surveillance’
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino also praised the operation. He said, “This is what proactive security agencies really look like. Our agents and partners in Michigan responded quickly to stop the threat before anyone got hurt. Under the leadership of Director Kash Patel and the oversight of this FBI, America is a safer place. Protecting the homeland is our top priority. We will not rest.”
Halloween festival is celebrated on 31st October. Lakhs of people celebrate this date and programs are organized at many places. If there had been an attack in such a situation, it would have caused a lot of devastation and it would have been natural for America’s security agencies to be questioned.
