The world’s well-known electric car company Tesla is now fully ready to step into India. According to a report by Reuters, Tesla is going to open its first showroom in Mumbai on 15 July 2025. This showroom will be a “Experience Center”, where people will be able to see Tesla’s vehicles and also take their test drives. This step can prove to be a big and important opportunity for India’s fast growing electric vehicle market.
Where will the showroom open, what will be found?

Tesla preparation in India
- The company, led by Tesla’s CEO Allen Musk, had been preparing to step into India for a long time.
- In March this year, Tesla had set a place for the showroom in Mumbai and since then the company has also started recruitment of new employees in India.
- Tesla is now looking for a place in Delhi and other big cities, so that its network can spread rapidly in India.
