How much did ‘Thai Kizhavi’ earn on the 12th day?
There has been no big blockbuster in the Tamil film industry since the beginning of the year. In such a situation, director Shivakumar Murugesan’s film Thai Kizhavi has not only become the favorite of the audience but it is also earning a lot. The interesting thing is that there is no big male star in this film. Radhika Sarathkumar starrer, this film does not even fall in the category of common commercial Tamil films. Still, after receiving positive reviews from all quarters, Thai Kizhav is performing very well at the box office.
According to industry tracker Sacknilk, the film has so far earned more than Rs 50 crore worldwide. After opening with a decent nett collection of Rs 2.65 crore in India on 27 February, the film saw a sudden jump in its earnings over the weekend and earned Rs 5 crore and Rs 6.15 crore respectively on its first Saturday and Sunday. Even in the next weekdays, the film’s collection did not fall below Rs 1.7 crore.
- Now according to Sacknilk, the film has collected Rs 1.79 crore on the 12th day i.e. second Tuesday.
- With this, the 12-day net collection of this film in India has become Rs 39.64 crore.
- Its gross collection in India is Rs 45.36 crore.

Shivakumar Murugesan has also written his directorial debut film. Thai Kizhavi is produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Sivakarthikeyan under the banners of Passion Studios and Sivakarthikeyan Productions. Radhika Sarathkumar is in the central role in the film, while Singampuli, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Bala Saravanan and Ilavarasu are in supporting roles. The film’s story revolves around a group of sons who initially expect to inherit money after the death of their paralyzed mother. However, when they learn that the mother has a valuable treasure, their priorities change and they try to keep her alive. The story unfolds as a dark comedy family drama.
