The struggle on the border between Thailand and Cambodia is continuously increasing. A statement has been issued by India regarding this. Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said on Saturday (July 26, 2025) that we are keeping a close watch on the border situation between Cambodia and Thailand.
Randhir Jaiswal posted on the social media platform X and said that India has close and friendly relations with both countries. We hope that both sides will take steps to end enmity and prevent stress.
Helpline number released for people trapped in Cambodia-Thailand
He said that Indian citizens present in this region can contact our embassy located in both countries for any assistance. Indian Embassy Helpline in Bangkok, Thailand +66 61 881 9218 (also for WhatsApp calls) and Nom Penh, Indian Embassy Helpline +855 92 881 676 (also for WhatsApp calls) have been issued in Cambodia.
Earlier, the Embassy of India in Cambodia advised Indian citizens to avoid traveling to border areas. Also, in any emergency, the embassy has been asked to contact.

The Indian Embassy said on the social media platform X, “Keeping in mind the clashes on the Thailand-Kambodia border, Indian citizens are advised to avoid traveling to the border areas. In any emergency, call the Indian Embassy number +85592881676 in Nom Penh in any emergency or email at Cons.phnompenh@mea.Gov.in”.
At the same time, a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Cambodia said on Saturday that at least 13 people have died and 71 others have been injured in the border struggle so far. According to Thai media, these clashes started on Saturday for the third consecutive day when Cambodian soldiers opened fire on Thai soldiers.
