There has been a big earthquake in Thailand politics. The country’s 38 -year -old Prime Minister Patongtarn Shinavatra has been suspended by the constitutional court of Thailand on Tuesday. The decision came after a leaked phone call, in which he spoke to a senior politician from neighboring Cambodia. In this call, he criticized a senior officer of the Thai army, which became a big issue given the influence of the army in Thailand.
Patongtarn is alleged that he criticized a General of Thai Army during a phone conversation with Cambodia Senate President Hun Sen. This call was made on 15 June and became the cause of controversy as soon as leaked. All this happened when the border dispute between Thailand and Cambodia was deepened and the Cambodian soldier was killed in a clash in May.
However, Patongtarn had apologized and said that it was a diplomatic strategy to prevent violence on the border. Nevertheless, thousands of people demonstrated in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand and demanded their resignation.

Court verdict and government crisis
The constitutional court has suspended Patongtarn with a majority of 7–2. She has been given 15 days time in which she can present evidence in her side. During this, Deputy Prime Minister Suriya Jungroungroangkit will play the role of acting Prime Minister.
At the same time, the government has also suffered a big shock. After the leaked call of Patongtarn, a colleague party has threatened to withdraw support, which has threatened the majority.
Does Patongtarn have studied?
Before entering politics, Patongtarn took a bachelor’s degree in political science from Chulalongkorn University, in which he read sociology and anthropology as a special subject. He then earned a Masters degree in international hotel management from the University of Surrey of England. He had his early studies from St. Joseph’s Convent School and then Matter Day School.
