Maddock horror-comedy universe’s new release film ‘Thama’ is creating havoc at the box office. The film is making huge profits not only at the Indian box office but also worldwide. On the very first day, ‘Thama’ has broken the record of blockbuster film ‘Sayara’ by making huge collections across the world. Ayushmann Khurrana’s film has defeated 3 more horror-comedy films.
According to the production house of ‘Thama’, the film had collected Rs 25.11 crore in India on the first day. Now Sacknilk has also released the worldwide collection of the film. According to which Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer film has taken an opening of Rs 30.75 crore at the worldwide box office.
‘Thama’ beats opening day collection of ‘Sayyara’
‘Thama’ has left behind the opening collection of ‘Sayara’ at the worldwide box office. This romantic film starring Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda is the second biggest film of 2025. ‘Sayara’ had collected a total of Rs 30 crore at the worldwide box office on the first day of its release. Now ‘Thama’ has left this figure behind.
‘Thama’ broke records of three films
Not only this, ‘Thama’ has also defeated the worldwide opening collections of three big films of Maddock Films. ‘Thama’ has beaten the opening collections of ‘Munjya’ (5 crores), ‘Bhediya’ (12 crores) and Stree (10 crores). However, ‘Thama’ failed to beat the worldwide opening collections of Maddock Films’ films ‘Chhaava’ (47 crores) and ‘Stree 2’ (80 crores).
Star cast and budget of ‘Thama’
According to the report of Koimoi, the budget of ‘Thama’ is Rs 140 crore. Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna have appeared in lead roles in the film. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Paresh Rawal and Satyaraj are also in important roles. Apart from this, there is also a great cameo of Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Banerjee and Nora Fatehi in the film. ‘Thama’ has been directed by Munjya fame director Aditya Sarpotdar.
