AIMIM’s youth councilor Sahar Shaikh has won from Ward No. 30 of Thane in the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation elections. 25 year old Sahar Shaikh told that she got a message from party chief Asaduddin Owaisi sir, personally he is a little busy, hence could not call but he has messaged that you are a brave daughter of a very brave father. We want you to do better in future, so reading this message made my heart very happy.
AIMIM corporator Sahar Sheikh said, “I got a call from Syed Imtiaz Jalil sir and he was very happy. He congratulated me on my victory and said that we are with you. Due to which I got a lot of support from the AIMIM party. When I got his call, I was very happy.”

We lived up to people’s expectations – Sahar Sheikh
Sahar Shaikh further said, “Of course, people had a lot of expectations from us and in the last 6-7 years, we have lived up to them. If we look at it from a perspective, all the people who used to come to the office for help, I have always been of the opinion that first they knocked on the door of Allah, then Allah gave them my address, only then they reached my office. I have never disappointed anyone. I never felt it was right to say that no one’s work could be done. If I could not do it, I used my contacts and helped them through others.

Sharad group’s NCP did not want to give us ticket – Sahar Shaikh
He claimed, “NCP (SP) did not want to give us tickets. He said that there was pressure from the panel. He took a very wrong decision and because of this the party became weak. When I also spoke to him on a personal level, of course we have been associated with him for many years, and we have a family like relationship with him, so we asked him on a personal level that if you call us your friends and we are part of a close relationship and close circle, then you should have told us clearly that you are not giving us tickets, but ”
The youth councilor of AIMIM further said, “It was understood from his answer that he did not want me to contest the elections because if he was not giving the ticket then others were ready to give the ticket.” He was afraid that she might go and join another party but the whole game changed. Let us tell you that father Yunus Sheikh was in Sharad Pawar faction and had asked for a ticket for his daughter but when he did not get it, he joined AIMIM and the daughter won.
