A Thar owner from Gurugram has sent a legal notice to Haryana DGP OP Singh regarding the statement given by him. This matter is related to the statement given on November 8 in which the DGP had said during the press conference in Gurugram that most of the people driving Thar and Bullet have criminal mentality. After this comment, this statement also came into controversy on social media.

In fact, on November 8, DGP OP Singh in Gurugram, while talking about road safety and traffic rules, had commented on the behavior of Thar and Bullet vehicle drivers. Many people had termed his comment as objectionable and even former Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala had reacted to it on social media. Now a Thar owner from Gurugram considered it personally insulting and chose the path of legal action. The Thar owner has made several major demands in the notice sent to the DGP through his lawyer.

In the legal notice, complainant Servo Mitra has demanded a public apology from the DGP within 15 days and withdrawal of the statement given against Thar vehicle owners. It is also written in the notice that after the statement of the DGP, people have started making fun of the Thar owner, due to which he is facing mental stress and social discomfort.

The Thar owner alleges that after the statement, people look at me and taunt me, saying that this statement tarnishes the image of thousands of vehicle owners like me. However, if there is no apology or withdrawal of statement from the DGP within 15 days, then the Thar owner has said that he will consider going to court.
