South Africa has announced its 15-member squad for the Test series on the Indian tour. The South African team’s India tour will run from 14 November to 19 December. 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and five T20 matches will be played between the two teams. The African team has currently announced its Test squad, in which captain Temba Bavuma has returned. Bavuma was injured during the ODI series against England last month.
South African team captain Temba Bavuma has been single-handedly overpowering big teams. Bavuma’s figures in Tests as captain have been very good. Under his captaincy, South Africa defeated Australia and won the World Test Championship title.
5 and a half feet tall player, trouble for Team India
Temba Bavuma’s height is 5 feet 4 inches, which is not even 5 and a half feet, but his figures are much higher than his height. As captain, Temba Bavuma has not lost any test match yet. Under his captaincy, South Africa won 9 out of 10 test matches and drew one. The South African team recently held Pakistan to a 1-1 draw in the Test series at their home. Aiden Markram was captaining the African team in that series.
Temba Bavuma is also in great form personally. In 9 innings of the last three Test series, Bavuma has scored 606 runs at an excellent average of 67.3. During this period he has also played 2 century innings. Tony de Georgi, Senuran Muthuswamy and Keshav Maharaj are also doing well in the series against Pakistan.
South Africa’s Test squad: Temba Bavuma (captain), Corbin Bosch, Dewald Brewis, Tony DeGeorge, Zubair Hamza, Simon Harmer, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Aiden Markram, Wiaan Mulder, Senuran Muthusamy, Kagiso Rabada, Ryan Rickelton, Tristan Stubbs, Kyle Verreynne.
