Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishore announced on Wednesday (October 15, 2025) that he will not contest the Bihar Assembly elections. After this, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Janata Dal United (JDU) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) took a dig at Prashant Kishor and said that he has understood that the situation is not in his favor.
RJD said that Kishor has accepted his party’s defeat without even contesting, while BJP claimed that Prashant Kishor realized that he would not be able to win the election.

Responding to PK’s statement, RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari claimed, ‘Kishor has understood that he and his party will have to face a crushing defeat in the upcoming assembly elections. For this reason he has announced not to contest the elections. He has accepted the defeat of Jan Suraj Party without even entering the field. He said, ‘Kishore should understand that politics is not as easy as giving advice to any party. His tire has been punctured.
BJP-JDU targeted Prashant Kishore
JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said, ‘Prashant Kishore’s balloon burst even before the elections. By announcing not to contest the elections, he has accepted his and his party’s defeat. He will have to face a shameful defeat in the elections.
JD(U) state unit chief spokesperson and Legislative Council member Neeraj Kumar said that Kishor’s decision is insulting to his party workers. He said, ‘He ran away even before entering the electoral fray. Earlier he used to say that he had undertaken padyatras to understand the problems of the people. Now what happened? His decision is a deep blow to his workers.

BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala said, ‘Prashant Kishor is a very intelligent businessman and he also has a lot of experience in running election campaigns.’ He said, ‘Perhaps as a businessman and former election strategist, he has understood that the ground conditions are not favorable for him or his party and if he loses this election, then no one will care about his business in future.’
Poonawala said, ‘Perhaps seeing this, he has decided that NDA is once again going to form the government with an overwhelming majority, hence he has taken himself out of the election race.’
