The film ‘The Bengal Files’, written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri, has been released in theaters on 5 September 2025 i.e. today. This political drama has a clash with Tiger Shroff’s action thriller rebel 4. Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi and Darshan Kumar starrer The film is based on the 1946 Calcutta massacre and Noakhali riots. The Bengal Files OTT releases
As stated in official posters, The Bengal files will be stream on Zee5 after release in theaters. However, the makers of ‘The Bengal Files’ have not yet announced the date of OTT release of the film. Still tell that this film can come on digital platforms after completing its theatrical winds.
Along with this, let us also tell that the film directed by Vivek Agnihotri was released in theaters with a period of 204 minutes, earlier the film was named The Delhi Files, although the producers soon changed its name to The Bengal files. Apart from the lead actors, the film also stars Anupam Kher, Simrat Kaur, Shashwat Chatterjee and other actors.
What did Vivek Agnihotri say about The Bengal files?
Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri said, “The Bengal files are a warning … One shout that we will not allow Bengal to become Kashmir. To provide authenticity to the untold story of Hindu massacre, we decided to launch the trailer in Kolkata and you will see a glimpse of it in the trailer … The country should be ready … because Kashmir has hurt you, if Kashmir has hurt you, then Bengal will bother you.”
