Delhi news: Special of Delhi Police has arrested a suspected terrorist Akashdeep alias Baz, a suspected terrorist associated with the banned terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa. The Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested the accused from Indore in Madhya Pradesh on 22 July.
According to the police, he was involved in a grenade attack in April 2025 at Lal Singh police station in Batla, Gurdaspur District in Punjab.
According to the DCP of the Special Cell, this arrest was made after the significant information received during the investigation of an old Arms Act case of Delhi Police. Police said that the accused hails from Amritsar district of Punjab and was absconding for a long time.
Criminal history of arrested accused
According to Delhi Police, the arrested youth Akashdeep Singh is originally from Amritsar Punjab. He has studied till 11th and was currently working as a crane operator at a construction site in Indore. In the interrogation of Delhi Police, he told that he was in touch with a handler from Babur Khalsa sitting abroad, who used to instruct him for terrorist activities through social media apps.

On 7 April 2025, there was a granite attack at the Fort Lal Singh police station of Batala, which was taken responsibility by Happy Pachia, Manu Agwan and Gopi through social media posts. According to the police, all three Babbar were said to be associated with Khalsa International. Not only this, Delhi was also threatened after the attack.
On the basis of information, the Special Cell intensified the search for Babbar Khalsa module. Meanwhile, the Special Cell of Delhi Police got input that Akashdeep was hiding in Gujarat, but after a few days it was strongly found about it in Indore, after which the special team raided and arrested Akashdeep on 22 July.
Important police investigation continues
Delhi Police is currently interrogating Akashdeep, a suspected terrorist of Babbar Khalsa organization, and Delhi Police, the Special Cell, who is looking for other members of the entire network, believes that Akashdeep’s arrest may reveal a big terrorist module. He was an important part of the network of arms supply in Delhi and Punjab and many other terrorist members could be exposed.
