He said that if forced cuts are made, he will remove his name from the film. He further said that he has made this film with complete truth and honesty, and after so many cuts, this film will not remain a film.
CBFC has said that remove the word ‘Punjab’ in the name of the film. He also objected to saying ‘Punjab Police’ in the film and said that only ‘police’ should be written. Not only this, it has also been asked to remove the name of Indira Gandhi. On this, Trehan has questioned that – ‘If the story is from Punjab, then how to remove Punjab by name?’
Paramjit Kaur Khalra, wife of Jaswant Singh Khalra, has opposed the decision of the censor board. He said that this film is made up of family permission and nothing is wrong in it. Therefore, the film should be released without any cut.
Honey Trehan said that he has been waiting for the last two and a half years. He said that if we cannot say our talk through art, then what is the meaning of democracy?
