In Greater Noida, the police investigation is going on in the case of brutal murder of Nikki Bhati, who was allegedly burnt by her husband and in -laws for alleged dowry demand. However, the neighbors claimed that Nikki and her sister Kanchan also had a dispute in the Bhati family about social media activities.
The residents of Sirsa village alleged that both the sisters married in the same family used to run a beauty parlor in their house and were active on Instagram. Local people claimed that the two sisters used to post reel related to ‘Makeover’, to which their husband Vipin and Rohit Bhati objected.
A person living in the neighborhood said, “Both of them (Nikki and Kanchan) used to share the reel related to the makeover on social media but both Rohit and Vipin did not like it, which they opposed it.”
At the same time, another local resident Rishabh mentioned the quarrel between sisters and their husbands on this issue on March 11. He said, “After this, both sisters went to their house but after the decision of the panchayat, she returned to her in -laws on March 18. ‘
In this regard, another neighbor said, ‘It was decided in the panchayat that both sisters will not make reel in future. It lasted for a few days but again he started making reel and this was the cause of tension between them.
Local people also claimed that Vipin used to help his father in running a grocery store, while Rohit used to do business and the family also had farming land.
He was killed only due to dowry!
Nikki’s family, however, dismissed these claims and alleged that she was murdered only due to dowry.
Nikki’s father Bhikari Singh said, “Dowry was the main reason behind his daughter’s murder.” He dismissed that there was a dispute due to Nikki’s presence on social media or activities of beauty parlor.
Neighbors in Nikki’s native village Roopbas also supported this and accused Vipin and his relatives of dowry harassment. Nikki’s younger brother Atul demanded a strict punishment for the accused.
