Dharmendra Pradhan is the Education Minister of India for some time and before that he has taken responsibility for many important departments. Interestingly, Dharmendra Pradhan himself has been far ahead in studies and his educational background gives evidence of this.
Studying from Utkal University in Bhubaneswar
Talking about the higher education of Dharmendra Pradhan, he has earned a post graduation degree in Anthropology from the famous Utkal University, Bhubaneswar in Odisha. He did this degree in the year 1990. Anthropology is the subject in which social, cultural and historical aspects of humans are studied. The education of this subject gave him the deep understanding of the society, which later got a lot of work in his politics.
Earlier, Dharmendra Pradhan completed the degree of graduation in Arts from Talcher College in 1988. In this way, the initial foundation of his studies was made of arts stream and went ahead and chose the subject of human scripture for the masters.
Fast in studies since childhood
Dharmendra Pradhan was considered very fast in his school and college days. His teachers and friends say that Pradhan was not only ahead in studies, but also active in social activities. This is the reason that along with studies, his interest also increased towards politics.

Activity in politics from college itself
Dharmendra Pradhan’s politics started from college days. During his studies, he joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). Along with this, he also formed relations with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Gradually, his identity became strengthened in student politics and this identity brought him to national politics.
Pradhan initially played an active role in Odisha’s politics and later came into the central politics and made his own place. After working in many ministries, he was given a big responsibility of the Education Minister.
