There are many countries including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh which have suffered the courage of coup and now Nepal’s name has also been included in it. Let’s know about that incident and the reasons behind it.
Coup in Nepal
First of all, let’s talk about Nepal where social media was banned on 4 September. Millions of youth took to the streets and demonstrated fiercely against the ban on social media. The demonstration of the youth started with the demand of removing the ban on social media, the Oli government reached the chair of the government. Although the ban has been lifted from social media, Oli had to resign from his post amidst heavy ruckus and was coup in Nepal.
Four times coup in Pakistan
The army intervention has been in power since 1947 in Pakistan. Pakistan has faced the courage of not one or two, but four times. The first coup took place in 1953-54. After this, power changed in 1958 when Pakistani President Major General Iskandar Ali Mirza dismissed the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan and the then Feroz Khan Noon government. Then came the era of 1977. The then Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was accused of corruption and misuse of power. Army chief Zia -ul -Haq attacked amidst the rigging dispute in the elections. The same story was repeated again in 1999 when Army Chief Parvez Musharraf evicted Nawaz Sharif from power by military coup.

India’s neighboring country Bangladesh also burnt in a similar fire in 2024. Sheikh Hasina’s government was accused of corruption, unemployment and repression. In July 2024, the student movement started against 30% quota system in government jobs. Soon this movement became widespread. Millions of youths on the streets raised slogans against Sheikh Hasina and on seeing this, the coup incident took place in Bangladesh. Please tell that America was accused of coup in Bangladesh. Sri Lankan incident
Apart from this, in the year 2022, the coup incident was also seen in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka’s economy was in extreme crisis. There was a huge shortage of fuel, medicine, food. Sri Lanka was burdened with loans, people believed that the corrupt regime of the Rajapaksa family harassed the people. A large number of troubled people took to the road. The Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Prime Minister’s Office and the Parliament camped outside ‘Gota Go Gota’ i.e. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa left the power of quitting power. By July 2022, the agitation was so much overwhelming that Gotabaya had to leave the country and flee.
Afghanistan has also suffered the courage of coup
The coup incident has also happened in Afghanistan. The Taliban was captured in Afghanistan after the US Army was removed in August 2021. The Taliban counted the Ghani government of Afghanistan in 2021, after which there is Taliban rule here.
