Shah Rukh Khan’s film Raees was in a lot of news in 2017. Pakistani actress Mahira Khan was also seen in this film. The film grossed well at the box office. The film earned worldwide 280 crores. The film was directed by Rahul Dholakia. There was a lot of issues about the film. But finally the film was released and was in discussion. Rahul also told that his mother was admitted to ICU during the shooting of the film.
During the shooting of this film, Rahul was facing personal and profession challenges. In a conversation with e-time, Rahul said that he had to face diabetes, high blood pressure and heart attack in an attempt to continue the work.
Director’s mother was admitted to hospital
Rahul said, ‘My mother was in ICU. I was facing pain. But I did not take leave. Shahrukh Khan had to shoot with him and I had to shoot with him. I used to live in the hospital with my mother at night and came on the set and showed that everything is normal. It was like a scared dream. But you cannot bring your problems on the set.
Further, Rahul said, ‘Our industry performance is the driving industry, where people are afraid to not say. There is always a fear of being excluded. Nobody wants to look weak. This is a big problem. There is always a do or die situation.
Rahul Dholakia’s journey
Rahul started his career by making documents and commercials. He says in 2002, he made a directorial debut in films from Dil Bar Bar. He also directed films like Parzania and Agni.
