What is Post-Higher Education Work Visa?
A special facility given to students who complete their studies in Australia is Post-Higher Education Work Visa, which was earlier called Post-Study Work Visa (PSWV). With the help of this visa, students can stay and work in Australia after completing their degree. The duration of this visa depends on the degree the student has obtained. Students with Bachelors and Masters degrees are generally allowed to stay for 2 years. Students doing PhD are given work visa for 3 years.
Requirements for work visa
- To get a work visa after studying in Australia, certain conditions have to be fulfilled.
- The student must have completed a degree from an Australian university.
- He must meet all the conditions of the Australian Study Requirements (ASR).
- The visa must be applied for within six months of completion of the course.
- The age of the student should be less than 35 years at the time of applying.
- He must have score of test like IELTS, TOEFL or PTE.
