Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a big good news for Indian students. He told that nine major universities of United Kingdom (UK) are going to open their campuses in India soon.
The opportunity for this announcement came during the visit of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to India. Prime Minister Modi said that this initiative reflects the new energy and direction of cooperation in the relations between India and Britain, especially after the recent free trade agreement between the two countries. PM Modi said that the delegation of education leaders who came with Prime Minister Starmer was the largest and most influential till date.
This step will provide opportunities to Indian students to get international level education without the huge expense of studying abroad. Besides, it will also promote cultural and educational exchange between the two countries. The first campus has already opened in Gurugram. The first campus of Southampton University is operational in Gurugram and the first batch of students have started their classes here. This marks the successful start of this new initiative.

These campuses will open
Campuses of University of Liverpool in Bangalore, University of York in Mumbai, University of Aberdeen and University of Bristol can open. Whereas information about campuses of other universities may be revealed soon. Through this scheme, Indian students will not only get better education opportunities, but their skills and career prospects will also increase. Besides, this initiative is also being considered as the beginning of strong cooperation in the field of education between Britain and India.
