It is now almost four years since Agniveer Yojana was started. The scheme about which there was debate across the country, questions were raised and many doubts remained in the minds of the youth, has now reached its first stage. The first batch of Agniveers will soon complete four years of service. In such a situation, the biggest question is what will happen next for these youth and how will they get jobs.
First of all, if we talk about the fire warriors of the Navy, their four-year tenure will be completed this year. Whereas Agniveer of the Army will complete his service period at the beginning of next year. A large number of youth from states like Haryana are recruited in the Army, Navy and Air Force. Due to its proximity to Delhi, every major national policy related to Haryana is kept under special attention here. In this episode, a discussion was held with Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini regarding the future of fire fighters, in which many important things came to light.

Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said in clear words that the state government is fully prepared for the future of fire fighters. He told that after completing four years of service, Agniveers will be given jobs as per their choice. He said that we will provide 100 percent employment to firefighters. This is a firm promise of the state government.
As already decided, 25 percent of Agniveers will be permanently inducted into the army after four years of service. But on the concerns about the future of the remaining 75 percent youth, the Chief Minister assured that they will be given jobs in different departments of the state. The services of these fire warriors will be taken in many departments including police, fire department, forest department.
Separate battalion is being formed
The Chief Minister told in an interview that a separate battalion is being formed under the Fire Department in Haryana. A separate training center will also be prepared for this. This arrangement will be on the lines of National Disaster Response Force i.e. NDRF. In this also, fire warriors will be given priority. The government believes that Agniveer who has received training in the army can do better work in areas like disaster management and security.
