Whenever there is talk of love and madness in Bollywood, some stories seem very close to the heart. There are some characters who forget themselves in love, and some dialogues go straight to the heart. Harshvardhan Rane will return in his new film ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ in the role of a crazy lover, who considers love not just an emotion but passion. The makers released the trailer of the film on Wednesday.

The trailer starts with a powerful dialogue, in which Harshvardhan’s character says – ‘To love you, O Sanam… It is my need and this is the madness of your unfortunate lover.’ This dialogue not only sets the story of the film, but also tells the audience that this is not a light love story, but a story in which love has reached the limits of madness.

After this, the chemistry between Harshvardhan and Sonam Bajwa is shown in the trailer. The love that is in the eyes of both of them says everything without saying anything. At some places both of them are traveling together in a car, at some places love is being expressed in their eyes. All this has been filmed in a very beautiful style. As the trailer progresses, the story deepens further.

Another powerful dialogue comes, “Parvana is so crazy about Roshni, how Shama’s beauty blows his senses, in his madness he destroys himself… destroys, annihilates.” There is a lot of emotion and intensity in every scene in the trailer. But there is not only love in the story, but also conflict. In one scene, Sonam Bajwa angrily tells Harshvardhan, “Till now you have seen the tinkling of a woman’s bangle, now you will see the idiosyncrasy of a woman.”

The struggle, anger and depth of emotions of both the characters have been shown very well in the trailer. A special twist comes in the trailer when Harshvardhan calls Sonam his future wife. At the end of the trailer comes the dialogue which has gone viral on social media – ‘You keep telling everyone that I am the Ravana of your life, so I am the first Ravana in history, who will leave Sita at home himself.’ This line not only hides the theme of the film, but it also forces the audience to think whether this Ravana is really just bad, or there is something different in his madness.

The cinematography, background score and delivery of dialogues in the trailer are at a different level. Harshvardhan Rane has completely got into his character and Sonam Bajwa also seems to give him equal competition. The way director Milap Zaveri has once again woven emotion and drama is clearly visible. ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ will be released in theaters on 21st October this Diwali.
