‘The grave diggers themselves went into their graves…’ Giriraj Singh’s statement on alleged controversial sloganeering in JNU

Union Minister Giriraj Singh has reacted to the alleged sloganeering against PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the campus of Jawaharlal Nehru University on Monday late night, January 5, 2026. There was a late night demonstration in the JNU campus after the Supreme Court rejected the bail of Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam.

Singh said that JNU has become the office of ‘tukde-tukde gang’, people with anti-national mentality like Rahul Gandhi, be it RJD, TMC or Left parties. They should not forget that this is India, this is Narendra Modi’s India of the 21st century. Vivekananda had said that it would be saffron only.

JDU also criticized sloganeering in JNU

Giriraj Singh said that these grave diggers have themselves gone into their graves. I want to say to the ‘Tukde Tukde Gang’ that those who support people like Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam, who were thinking of Pakistan and talked about separating the chicken neck, are traitors.

Janata Dal (United) has criticized the protest for Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam in JNU campus. JDU’s national spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan Prasad said that any kind of anarchy cannot be accepted in this country. During this, controversial slogans were raised. On this, Rajiv Ranjan Prasad said, the decision has been given by the Supreme Court. The court’s decision is valid for all parties. Therefore, the kind of demonstration that took place should be condemned by all. Of course, such activities are not acceptable at all.
