One of these is the relationship between Dilip Kumar and Kamini Kaushal, a relationship which has never been fully explained in words, but its echo is clearly felt in the autobiographies of both. Both the artists have lived their personal experiences as deeply as they have achieved success in their careers.
Kamini Kaushal had told about her relationship with Dilip in her autobiography.
In her autobiography, Kamini Kaushal has shared very honestly that period of her life, when she and Dilip Kumar had deep love for each other. He told in his book how there was a beautiful affinity between him and Dilip Kumar. Both were very happy together and there was a natural bond between them, but circumstances became such that they had to separate.
Kamini said that she never believed in ending a relationship suddenly, especially when she had family responsibilities. He had taken the responsibility of his sister’s daughters and it was not possible for him to leave them. For this reason, he ended that relationship by placing a stone on his heart.
Dilip Kumar had also expressed his love in his autobiography.
On the other hand, Dilip Kumar’s autobiography ‘Dilip Kumar – Star Legend of Indian Cinema’ also reveals the depth of this relationship. He described Kamini Kaushal as his first love and wrote that he felt a closeness with her like never before.
He said that true love happens only once in a lifetime, even if any feeling rekindles after that, it is only a pale shadow of the first love.
Kamini Kaushal and Dilip Kumar worked together in three films ‘Shaheed’, ‘Shabnam’, and ‘Nadiya Ke Paar’. This emotional relationship developed between the two during the shooting of these films.
