America -ran Relations: Iran’s President Masood Porashakian has rejected direct conversation with the US in response to President Donald Trump’s letter regarding the nuclear program. So at the same time, US President Donald Trump warned Iran that if Tehran did not agree to compromise with Washington on his nuclear program, it would be bombed and tariffs would be imposed.
Pageshkian said, “Although the possibility of direct talks between the two sides has been rejected in this response, it has been emphasized that the path of indirect dialogue is open.” So in a telephone interview with NBC News, Trump confirmed that American and Iranian officials were talking, but he did not give any other details. Trump said, “If they do not make any deal, there will be bombing but there is a possibility that if they do not make any deal, I will put a double tariff on them, as I did four years ago.”
