Julie Praveen, a resident of Chandni Chowk in Saharsa district of Bihar, has become an example of self -reliance today. Julie, who is once struggling with the loss in her husband’s shoe-slippers business, has now written a new story of success in the pickle business. Not only did he overcome his family from economic crisis, but also brought positive changes in their lives by giving employment to three other women. Mehtab used to run a shoe-slippers business. His work was going well, but in 2020, the business came to a standstill due to the CORONA epoction. Lockdown and market recession led to a huge decline in their sales and had to close the shop by the end of 2021. This sudden economic crisis brought the whole family into trouble.

Julie showed courage

Julie did not give up after the husband’s business was damaged. He thought about the business of making pickles. In January 2022, he took a small house on rent in Saharsa Basti and started making pickles from there. Initially, he earned an income of only Rs 50,000, but gradually his taste climbed on the tongue of the customers.

Help from this scheme of the state government

During this time Julie got a loan of Rs 2 lakh from the Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana, which further expanded his business. Now Julie is making 10 quintal pickles every month and selling it in the market. Julie Praveen while talking to news agency IANS said, "I never thought that the work of making pickles would take such a big form. Now my dream is that I should take this business further and give more and more women." He said that we started this business from the time of lockdown. After this, I took a loan of two lakh rupees from the Chief Minister Small Entrepreneur Scheme. Now my business has started growing. Now there is a turnover of eight to 10 lakh rupees annually.

Mo. Mehtab said that Julie changed our life. When our old business stopped, we were very upset, but today we have become self -sufficient again. He said that we want to grow our business. Although there was some difficulty in the beginning, we focused on our business and moved forward. & Nbsp;

The demand for growing pickle continuously

Julie’s pickles are now famous all over the region. She prepares 12 types of pickles, including red chillies, mix pickles, green chillies, amla, jackfruit, tamarind carry and biryani special pickles. The demand for pickles made by them is also increasing in the surrounding villages and cities. Mehtab also supported him. Apart from sale at the shop, they also handle pickle in villages. Julie is also providing employment to three other women named Khalida Razia, Gulbasa and Guljara Praveen. She pays 200 rupees daily to these women, which is also improving the condition of their house. & Nbsp; Julie Praveen is the mother of two children and is running a successful business along with her family responsibilities. His journey shows that if there is encouragement and hard work, then any difficulty can be faced. Today she is not only strengthening her family financially, but is also showing other women to become self -sufficient.
