There will be change in working days along with name.

The government is going to bring a new law. It has been named Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission Gramin Bill 2025. This is being called VB G RAM G Bill in short. After the bill is passed, it will replace the existing MNREGA law. Earlier there was talk of naming it Pujya Bapu Rural Employment Scheme.

But now developed India is being described as Ram ji. According to sources, in the new scheme, it is being considered to increase the days of guaranteed employment to rural families from 100 to 125 days. The government says that this will increase rural income and will also strengthen the availability of work. Its purpose is not just to pay wages. Rather, people have to be given more employment opportunities.

There may also be changes in payment and funding system

In the new scheme, it has also been said that the payment system will be made easier and faster. In MNREGA where wages were paid within 15 days. In the new bill, it has been said to have a weekly payment system. Under this, it will be necessary to pay wages every week or within a maximum of 15 days after completion of the work. If work is not received within 15 days. So there will also be a provision to give unemployment allowance.

There may also be a major change in the funding system. Earlier the entire expenditure of MNREGA was borne by the central government. But states will also have to contribute in the new scheme. In some states, 90 percent center and 10 percent state. Whereas in the remaining states, 60 percent of the expenses will be borne by the Center and 40 percent by the states. This will increase both the role and responsibility of the states in running the scheme.
