Prabhas’s much awaited film ‘The Raja Saab’ has been released in theaters this Friday i.e. 9th January. Although this film has received negative reviews from critics, it has received good response from the audience. Due to which this film has had a spectacular opening. In the Hindi version, Prabhas has broken his 11 year old record.
‘The Raja Saab’ opened with how many crores?
After the success of Baahubali franchise, Prabhas has become one of the biggest superstars of the country. The opening of his films is always explosive, whether the film flops or does well at the box office. The Pan India Superstar’s latest film ‘The Raja Saab’ also had a great start of Rs 54.15 crore and had earned Rs 9.15 crore from the premiere show itself. With this the total collection of the film became Rs 63.3 crore.

If we look at the figures of the first day, we find that most of the collection of the film came from the Telugu version, while the contribution of the Hindi version was only Rs 6.15 crore. If seen in Telugu alone, the figures of the Hindi version may seem quite weak, but from the record point of view it is important in many ways. In fact, with the collection of Rs 6.15 crore (in Hindi version), ‘The Raja Saab’ has left behind the Hindi collection of Rs 5.15 crore on the first day of ‘Baahubali – The Beginning’ released in 2015.
However, when this figure is compared with Prabhas’s record in the last 10 years, the trend seems to be stable. Actually, after the success of Bahubali series, Raja Saheb is Prabhas’s third lowest opening film. Before this, his lowest earning was of Radhe Shyam, which had earned Rs 4.8 crore in Hindi.
Will ‘The Raja Saab’ make Rs 100 crore in Hindi?
Let us tell you that ‘Bahubali – The Beginning’ had earned around Rs 5 crore on the opening day in Hindi, but its total earning in Hindi was more than Rs 100 crore. However, this seems to be difficult in the case of ‘The Raja Saheb’, because critics and fans have strongly criticized the film and its effect can be seen in the weekend.
Let us tell you that Prabhas’s films are an example for South Indian films released in Hindi. Baahubali 2 broke the record and earned Rs 41 crore on its opening day. Vabin Adipurush had earned Rs 37.25 crore, Kalki 2898 AD had earned Rs 22.5 crore, Saaho had earned Rs 24.40 crore and Salaar had earned Rs 15.75 crore on the first day in Hindi.
