After a successful launch, Prabhas starrer and Maruthi directed horror comedy film ‘The Raja Saab’ has received mostly negative reviews, the impact of which has started showing at the domestic box office. Even though the film has earned more than Rs 100 crore in India in the first weekend of its release, Prabhas, who has given some of the biggest blockbusters to Indian cinema at domestic and international level, has not been able to do anything special with ‘The Raja Saab’. It was expected from Prabhas’ ‘The Raja Saab’ that this film would break all the records of earning at the box office. It also had a good opening, but critics and audiences criticized the film for its weak story and bad dialogues, due to which the film’s earnings have been declining drastically since the second day. Even on the opening weekend, this film could not show any growth in earnings. Now this film has also failed in the Monday test.
Talking about the collection of the film, ‘The Raja Saheb’ had earned 9.15 crores in the Pview show. After this, it had a strong opening of 53.75 crores on the first day, but the horror-comedy film saw a decline of 51.63 percent in its earnings on the second day and it earned 26 crores. Despite getting the benefit of holiday on Sunday, its earnings further fell by 26.54 percent and it collected Rs 19.1 crore.
- Now according to the early trend report of Saknilk, ‘The Raja Saheb’ has earned Rs 5.4 crore on the fourth day of its release i.e. Monday.
- With this, the total earning of ‘The Raja Saheb’ in four days has now become Rs 113.04 crore.
‘The Raja Saab’ Could not recover half the budget even after four days
There was a huge decline in the earnings of ‘The Raja Saheb’ on Monday and it was limited to single digits only. According to reports, the film ‘The Raja Saab’ has been made with a budget of Rs 300-400 crore and leave aside becoming a blockbuster, considering its disappointing box office performance, it will now have to earn a lot to even cover the cost. Now it remains to be seen how many crores this film can earn. At present, this film is in danger of flopping.
